Join the APL Gun Club

The APL Gun Club welcomes all APL employees to join. A limited number of Non-employees may also join, but must be sponsored by an employee (See the non-employee membership policy).

Because our club events are held at Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore (AGC), we want all of our club members to know the AGC rules, even if they do not plan to become a member of AGC.

For new members and members who have allowed membership to laps more than a year:

Here are the procedures for the prospective member to follow:

  1. Read and understand ALL of the AGC Policy and Procedures (giving special attention to Sections X Range Rules and Section XI Disciplinary Action)
  2. Read and understand the AGC Range Safety Orientation Slides
  3. Sign the acknowledgment form that they read the AGC Documents.
  4. If non-employee, sign the non-employee agreement
  5. Bring forms and $15 payment to a club officer (Preferably the Club Treasurer) or by Zelle  (Checks made payable to APL Gun Club).
  6. To get an AGC range badge see the procedures below.

You are now a member of the APL Gun Club and a club officer will provide you with a club membership card (a PDF sent by email). The membership card is signed by one of the club officers.

HOWEVER, you still are not a member of AGC. (See AGC membership procedures below.)

Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore (AGC) Membership:

The APL Gun Club is an associated club of AGC. Being a member of the APL Gun Club permits you to purchase a membership to AGC if desired. To get a membership at AGC, you will need an APL Gun Club membership card.

To become a member of AGC:

  1. Contact AGC to schedule a range walk through.
  2. Attend the safety walk through at AGC with one of the AGC’s instructors.
  3. Sign TWO copies of the AGC affidavit with the instructor (forms are at the bottom of this web page).
  4. Bring APL Gun Club membership card, one copy of the signed affidavit, and money to AGC badge processing (see AGC Calendar).
    1. You may also pay online at least three days in advance.
  5. Provide second signed copy of the affidavit to APL Gun Club Officer

Once a month, the safety walk through will be held at AGC and lead by one of the APL Gun Club’s instructors. Contact a club officer to get a date and contact information for the instructor.

First time members can get a half year badge starting 1 July for half price.

You can search the AGC calendar with the word “badge” to find all the range badge processing times at AGC.

Renewing an APL Gun Club membership:

An APL Gun Club membership may be renewed if you were a member the previous year. Any laps greater than a year will require you to complete the “New Member” procedures above.

Each year, non-employee club members will need to sign a Participation Agreement and have their sponsor send an e-mail to the club Treasurer informing the APL Gun Club of the continued participation of their sponsorship. This is an APL requirement for indemnification.
Your membership card will be emailed to you after payment is received.
